What can I say about Kerri? She is an absolute life saver!! And that is not an understatement. I will try and keep my story as short as I can but I want you to understand that there is definitely hope, even in the longest, darkest tunnels.
I have been suffering (really suffering) with bad foot pain for 8 years. It started off as plantar fasciitis that never went away and slowly got worse and worse, affecting every part of my feet, legs and ankles, pretty much everything from the waist down hurt - a lot. So much so, that I couldn't finish a day's work, regardless of what job I did - and I tried many hoping that this would be the one I could manage.
Every step felt like walking in shoes that were filled with different sized stones and 6 inch rusty nails - every single step! They even hurt when sitting down or sleeping. Many times I was woken up with 10,00 volts shooting up my feet.
My GP did nothing. I sought out 4 different podiatrists, all to no avail. I purchased every insole ever made, every massager, roller or gadget that claimed would help. I spent thousands over the years and became very disheartened with the medical profession that did nothing to help.
I became very depressed as the weight piled on and my ability to move about decreased. I thought that this was how it was going to be for the rest of my days. Then a family friend on a chance encounter recommended Kerri. I had nothing to lose by going to see her. What a boon she was!! She diagnosed me in the first session - something that no doctor, podiatrist or surgical team had ever done before. That meant that it wasn't all in my head like I was led to believe. The second appointment was a biometric assessment of my gait using a Foot Scan. I walked across a plate on the floor that very accurately showed where all the pressures are on my feet and the results were astounding to me. She talked me through every inch of how I walk and explained how and why each part of my feet were hurting.
With that information, she made me a pair of PHITS orthotic insoles. Having spent a lot of money on insoles from another podiatrist which were so painful I couldn't wear them, I was a bit sceptical but I needn't have been. From the second I put them in my shoes, my heel pain (which I have had for 8 years, day and night) disappeared. It has only been 2 weeks but the difference is phenomenal. I can walk for longer and without much pain (my muscles are still getting used to them) but each day I am getting better and better. As soon as my feet are truly better I'm going to dance for joy!!
I just wanted you to know, that even if you've had so much pain, to the point you want your feet amputated (like me), don't give up. Go and see Kerri. You will NOT be sorry you did.
If I could give her 10 stars I would!
